Hi, I’m Jane.
Welcome.
I am a BACP Registered Counsellor with a BA Hons in Integrative Counselling.
I offer online and in-person counselling sessions and would love to hear from you if you have more questions.
I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to explore what you’d like to work on, and to get to know me a little more.
For in-person sessions, I use a disabled accessible counselling space in Newlyn, near Penzance.
My Approach
Person-Centred
My approach begins with a person-centred foundation and focuses on reflecting on your feelings and experiences. With the client at the heart of the work, each person’s story is witnessed and validated.
My aim is to create a therapy environment to best fit each unique client.
Integrative
This term refers to different ways of understanding and talking about the human experience.
Through exploring your experiences, we can use helpful models to work with different parts of your story, which can offer new understanding, perspectives and tools for growth.
Being able to be flexible and draw on a variety of models allows me to work with a range of issues from anxiety, depression, infertility, bereavement, addiction, ADHD, relationship issues, and traumatic experiences.
Under ‘Therapies Offered’ below, there’s a list of the approaches I can use.
Non-Judgemental
I endeavour to build a therapeutic relationship with safe boundaries where our work together is guided by your best interests and your stated goals, or focus. People are often their own harshest critics, and within this safe space we can explore the histories of where this judgement may come from, and what function it serves.
With acceptance and compassion, the power of the inner critic can become an ally.

The list above is meant to give a starting point, rather than try to capture every aspect of your story. If you’re not sure I could work with you, please book a time to have a call.

I’ve always been interested in what makes people tick. I began my ‘people’ career in youthwork. I really appreciated the opportunity to interact with a vibrant, interesting and entertaining age group. Working with teens ignited a passion to share knowledge about important subjects such as drugs, sexual health and mental health, so that these young people could make informed choices about what they wanted for themselves. This theme has continued for me where fulfilling a supportive role enabling exploration and promoting understanding set me on a counselling path, upskilling myself with a degree in integrative counselling skills along the way.
