Polyvagal Theory

I have delivered a Polyvagal Theory workshop to the Society of Psychotherapists and hope to collaborate with one of their members on a further recording this summer.

I am passionate about this approach which offers an evolutionary perspective on how our nervous system responses are unconsciously organised by our survival system. With this understanding, regulating postures and breathing tools can be used to soothe an anxious or depressed nervous system, and it is a really useful lens through which to view our experiences.

I would love to bring this hands-on education on how the body and mind work together to school students, to manage stress, high emotions and promote self-care.
